In a world of constant demands, meetings and shifting priorities, time can feel like something that’s always running out. But effective leaders know that managing time isn’t about doing more – it’s about focusing on what matters most and leading with intent.

This energising and practical session helps leaders step out of firefighting mode and take control of how they spend their time, energy and attention. Through real world tools, reflection and discussion, participants will explore how to prioritise effectively, make better planning decisions, and create the space needed for strategic thinking, people leadership and personal resilience.

Rather than adding more to the to do list, this session supports leaders to work more deliberately – building habits, boundaries and ways of working that enable them to lead at their best.

By the end of this session, you’ll:

  • Understand where your time is really going – and whether it’s aligned to your role, priorities and leadership impact
  • Use the Urgent vs Important Matrix to prioritise with clarity and reduce reactive working
  • Identify and tackle time stealers and energy drains that limit focus and effectiveness
  • Plan with greater confidence for both short‑term demands and longer‑term leadership priorities
  • Apply the Delegation Ladder to let go of tasks that don’t need you and develop others in the process
  • Build habits that support effective meetings, focused agendas and healthy boundaries
  • Leave with a clear, practical action plan to stop firefighting and start leading with intent
