The UK’s contact centre sector is set to once again open its doors and showcase its collective achievements as part of National Contact Centre Day – which will take place for its second year, on 3 March 2027.
National Contact Centre Day 2027 will see organisations of all sizes across the UK come together to celebrate the value that contact centres deliver to business and to recognise the people that are making a difference to society.
The theme for next year’s festivities has been confirmed as ‘Powered By People’, having been selected via poll by participants at the CCMA (Contact Centre Management Association) UK National Contact Centre Conference 2026.
The role of contact centres is transforming at pace, but one aspect remains consistent throughout – the importance of the people that power them.
Every day, across millions of interactions, contact centres are the voice, reassurance and backbone of organisations across the UK.
These operations provide crucial support, handle complex queries and resolve difficult challenges, led by dedicated people who make it happen behind the scenes.
National Contact Centre Day is an opportunity to celebrate those people, recognising the crucial role contact centres play in organisations and in wider society.
Leigh Hopwood, CEO of the CCMA, said: “The theme ‘Powered By People’ captures exactly what makes our sector so special. Technology is changing how contact centres work, but it’s the people – their empathy, expertise and judgement – who make the real difference to customers every single day.
“National Contact Centre Day is our chance to celebrate them, and I’d encourage organisations of every size to get involved on 3 March 2027.”
2026’s inaugural National Contact Centre Day was participated in-person by hundreds of UK organisations and had a reach of an estimated four million people globally online.
National Contact Centre Day 2027 promises to be even bigger, giving UK organisations of all sizes a chance to come together and highlight the difference their contact centres make – every day.
